The StorageBoss serves File and Block data over Ethernet from a common storage pool that can be resized dynamically. The StorageBoss connects to Windows (CIFS), UNIX (NFS) and Apple (AFP) servers/clients on a File level and also supports Block level connections to disk for Windows, Novell and Linux servers/clients via iSCSI.
At the heart of the StorageBoss is NeuStream's secure web-based administration tool, it provides easy access to all storage related tasks such as snapshots, back up, quotas, replication, etc. An easy to integrate appliance design provides: dual Gigabit Ethernet connections for a front end network (e.g. LAN or IP SAN), internal RAID-5 disk and external SCSI and Fibre Channel ports for RAID or Fibre Channel SAN attached disk integration. |
